The important details
Terms & privacy
How Wallo works, what we ask of people using it, and how we handle personal information.
01 / Using Wallo
Terms of service
The ground rules for using the site and sharing work here.
Using the site
By using Wallo you agree to use it for personal, non-commercial wallpaper discovery and downloading unless a specific wallpaper's license says otherwise. Don't scrape the catalog, attempt to bypass rate limits, or use the site to distribute malware or unlawful content.
Accounts
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your password secure. We may suspend or remove an account that violates these terms or submits content it doesn't have the rights to.
Creator uploads
If you're approved to upload wallpapers, you confirm that you own or have the right to publish everything you submit, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. Every upload is reviewed before publication; we can reject or remove any wallpaper at our discretion. See our licensing guide for more about wallpaper rights.
Availability
The site is provided as-is. We aim to keep it available and fast, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access and aren't liable for losses arising from downtime or changes to the catalog.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site evolves. Continuing to use Wallo after a change means you accept the updated terms.
02 / Your information
Privacy policy
The information we use to run Wallo and the choices you have.
What we collect
Browsing and downloading wallpapers as a guest doesn't require any personal information. If you create an account, we store your name, email address, and anything you choose to add to your profile (a public name, bio, and profile picture). We also record basic usage data — views, downloads, and favorites — to run the site and show creators how their work is performing.
How we use it
Account details are used to run your account, sync your favorites, and let you publish wallpapers if you're an approved creator. Usage data is aggregated to show popular wallpapers and creator analytics. We don't sell your personal information to anyone.
Cookies and local storage
We use session cookies to keep you signed in and a small amount of local browser storage to remember guest favorites and your light/dark theme preference before you create an account.
Your choices
You can update or remove your profile details at any time from your account page, or delete your account entirely, which removes your personal details and favorites. Wallpapers you've published are kept so the catalog stays intact, but are no longer attributed to a live account.
